Abstract

【課題】発光素子からの光を検出するセンサーを複数備えた構成において、発光素子に駆動信号を印加する駆動回路をオフさせたときの各センサーの検出値(オフセット値)の確認動作を光量補正の度に行なうこと無く、光量補正に要する時間の短縮を可能とする。 【解決手段】第1の発光素子の第1の駆動回路および第2の発光素子の第2の駆動回路をオフさせた状態で、第1・第2の発光素子の光を検出する第1・第2の検出部の検出値を確認して、記憶部に記憶する工程と、第1の駆動回路および第2の駆動回路をオフさせた状態で、第1の検出部の検出値を確認する工程と、当該工程で確認した第1の検出部の検出値に基づいて第1の発光素子の光量を補正し、当該工程で確認した第1の検出部の検出値と記憶部に記憶される第1の検出部の検出値および第2の検出部の検出値に基づいて第2の発光素子の光量を補正する工程と、を備える。 【選択図】図8
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten time required for correction of light quantity without performing confirmation operation of a detection value (offset value) by each sensor when a drive circuit applying a drive signal to light emitting elements is turned off each time light quantity is corrected, in a configuration having the plurality of sensors detecting light from the light emitting elements.SOLUTION: This light quantity correction method for an exposure head includes: a process of confirming detection values by first and second detection parts detecting light of first and second light emitting elements while a first drive circuit of the first light emitting element and a second drive circuit of the second light emitting element are turned off and storing the detection values in a storage part; a process of confirming the detection value by the first detection part while the first drive circuit and the second drive circuit are turned off; and a process of correcting the light quantity of the first light emitting element based on the detection value by the first detection part confirmed in the process and correcting the light quantity of the second light emitting element based on the detection value by the first detection part confirmed in the process and the detection values by the first detection part and the second detection part which are stored in the storage part.
